Don’t cheat yourself. Ask for HELP!

Andrea Parker near cliff

In the industrial age, we were told that you have to go to school and get good grades so that you can get a ‘secure’ job.

We were taught that you couldn’t copy off anybody in doing so, you aren’t allowed to ask for help, and you had to do it alone, or else it’s cheating.

We were also taught that you have to sit at a desk. You can’t play. Life (and ‘work) was meant to be serious, and it couldn’t be fun, or else you’ll fail.

Not only is this the furthest from the truth. It’s the old, outdated, soul-sucking way of doing things.

I’m a solid NO THANK you for living my life based on those uninspiring paradigms and systems.

The NEW WAY is all about living from your heart and creating from a place of inspiration, love, joy and fun!

In this new way, it’s safe to enjoy and be you!

Even better, you get to share the journey with other inspiring folks, and you no longer have to do it alone.

Here’s an example of what playing for your dreams in this new way looks like.

My client had recently set an ambitious goal. It was MASSIVE but doable.

I am super proud of her because she played big and did ALL the things!

For instance, she did her inner work; we removed blocks and upgraded her beliefs.

We created a plan for her, and she focused on the high-priority action steps.

She did her homework. She worked on believing she was worthy of it and when fear popped up, we released it. She also played with the fear, felt it and did it anyway. These are all common steps and actions for playing for your dreams.

I am SO proud of her because she also got out of her comfort zone and ASKED FOR HELP!!

One of her homework action steps was to reach out to her network and ask them for help.

The truth is, she was playing a massive game and had a big goal, which she ended up achieving. But that’s beside because the point. The real win is that she gave herself permission to be vulnerable and ask others for help even though she felt like asking for help was cheating.

I love how she owned her worth and transformed her beliefs.

I was so inspired by what she had written me I asked for her permission to share it with you because I believe it’s powerful!!

Here is what she said…

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did what you said, and I reached out to my network and told my people what I was doing.

You were right; asking for help is not a bad thing; asking for what I want is the only way to get it.

I deserve to ask for what I want; I deserve to reap the benefits of working really freaking hard.

Sometimes I feel like asking for help is “Cheating” or makes the win less significant. It’s just not true. It would make missing out more of a disappointment knowing that all I would have had to do is ASK.

I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU AND YOUR HELP!!!!!

Thank you for letting me be fully open and honest.

Thank you for providing me with the tools to work toward my goal and find the balance in all of it.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

The reason I love this so much is that she committed to herself. She felt the fear, did her inner work, and when the fear was still present, she took action anyways!!!

This is what it looks like to have the courage to show up for your dreams!

It’s such a great example of why asking your network for help is worth it!

The truth is, if you don’t need to ask for help, odds are you aren’t playing big enough.

Asking for help is what is going to get you to the next level.

Of course, you don’t want to ask just anyone for help.

Having a guide in your corner or mentors who have a track record of success in similar areas of your goals is wise.

It is also wise to build a community of other like-minded people who you can ask for help.

If you don’t have one. I recommend you start to create one. This takes time, and you will constantly be upgrading, tweaking, adding and subtracting from this group, but it’s worth the time, energy and investment.

Collaboration is the NEW way!

Ask for help! It is likely the thing that will help you break through to the next level!

If you aren’t willing to ASK for help. You might want to ask yourself, why not?

Odds are it’s because of an old limiting belief that no longer serves you.

Somewhere along your journey, your subconscious mind likely associated more danger than safety with asking for help.

This is something that can be released. Releasing subconscious blocks at a cellular level is my specialty so let me know if you need more information on how to do this.

In the meantime, I invite you to challenge yourself and ASK for help!

What is one ASK that you have this week?

FOCUS on THIS!!

I feel like now, more than ever, we are being called to uplevel our frequencies and vibrate at a higher level.

The higher your vibration and frequency, the greater your impact and ability to manifest and create the life that you’d love.

When vibrating at a higher frequency, you are more resilient, more inspired, energized and loving.

When you are in a lower frequency, guess what. You’ll attract lower energy people, situations and energy to you.

I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you how challenging it is to go for your dreams and play big when you are fighting the current of lower energy fears and frustrations.

The good news is that you are 100% responsible for your energy and vibration.

The bad news is also that you are fully responsible for the energy you bring and your frequency.

That is why you must avoid, limit and reduce the things that bring your energy down and invest more time, money and energy on the things that bring your vibration up!

Often, we don’t know where to focus our energy.

Here’s my advice.

FOCUS on what you want and not on what you don’t want.

Janet and Chris Attwood share a manifestation principle called Intention, Attention, No Tension.

This is a great tool for helping you FOCUS on what you’d love and bringing up your vibration. A huge bonus is that it also helps you to manifest your dreams and goals.

Here’s how it works:

First, you state your Intention. Clearly state your goal or objective.
Second, put Attention to it. Get into action and do whatever it takes to move that Intention forward.
Third, let go and trust!

It’s simple, but it’s not necessarily easy.

As humans (or at least the ones I attract), I have found that we are often good at setting intentions and getting into action. It’s the trusting and letting go piece that doesn’t come so easily.

The reason for this is that trust is mastery-level stuff.

In my opinion, trust is also very spiritual.

By letting go of the outcome and trusting, you surrender and owning that whatever happens is for your highest and greatest good. That is mastery level!

This is also where I see most people get stuck.

One reason is that they are reverting to old patterns and limiting beliefs from Stage One of Human Development (Bootcamp).

Everyone goes through this stage.

It is here that we are taught that love comes from the outside. That success comes from the outside and that our worth is associated with what we do and not who we are.

In Bootcamp, you are reacting to life.

The stories and illusions you learned in this stage often keep you stuck from believing that you are worthy and; rather, everything is happening for your highest good.

Stage Two is where the magic happens. This is you are a conscious creator of your reality and take responsibility for your life.

This is where you own that your worth comes from within. That success comes from within, and that love comes from within.

In Stage Two, you are being called to live from the values of your heart and not fear.

In Bootcamp, fear is the driver.

In Stage Two, inspiration and love are the drivers.

Fear is one of the biggest things that brings down your frequency.

Much like the food you eat, people you surround yourself with and your environment can impact your frequency. So can the thoughts and emotions that you feel. Including worrying and fear!

That is one reason it is important to own your energy and vibration.

It all comes back to FOCUS!

Focus on your Intention. Put energy towards it. When fear pops up, do your inner work and release it. Keep going for your dreams. Release your fears as they pop up.

Fear is going to be part of the journey, especially since you are playing big. That’s ok. You don’t have to stay stuck in it.

Release it! Keep focusing on your Intention and Action steps.

If you need help with this, let me know. Removing the subconscious blocks is my specialty.

In the meantime, focus on the following…

  1. What is bringing your vibration and energy down? How can you reduce or eliminate it?
  2. What helps raise your vibration? How can you do more of it?
  3. What is your Intention? Focus on that and get into action to make it happen!
  4. When fear pops up, do your inner work to release it.

Are You Sabotaging Yourself From Feeling Good?

Mel Mills on Kayak with Dog

Let’s talk about Feeling Good!

It all comes down to frequency and energy.

“Everything is energy.” Albert Einstein.

And energy is everything!!

The more you raise your energy and vibration, the more you’ll attract and create the life that you love.

Feeling good is what it’s all about. And I mean the true inner feeling good that vibrates and emanates from the essence of your being.

It’s no longer about having to be doing or producing to feel good.

I have found that the old way of living and doing things isn’t inspiring for many of my clients, former perfectionists, people-pleasers, or very high-achieving individuals anymore. The truth is, it never really was.

Sure, it may have felt safer, but now it no longer resonates.

So why does it not always feel safe or comfortable to feel SO good?

One reason is that it likely feels unfamiliar.

Ease, flow, joy and fun may feel unfamiliar, whereas old patterns of feeling challenged, pushing or performing were the norm and familiar feelings.

As humans, we try to run towards what feels familiar and run away from the unfamiliar even if it is not for our highest good.

For example, if not feeling good is the familiar. Often, you’re going to do things that keep you feeling not great.

Let’s say you’ve been eating well and vibrating at a higher frequency; at the end of the day, you may choose to consume something that makes you feel like crap to make yourself feel safer and more comfortable.

This could be because it feels unnatural to feel so good.

Another thing that could happen is that it might not have been safe for you to feel great in the past.

Here’s a subconscious block that I released recently.

The memory that surfaced was when I was 11 years old, and I was hanging out with my friends. This particular group of people weren’t necessarily the highest vibe people.

It wasn’t that my energy was better than there’s. It was just different.

I was innately a happy kid who was optimistic and sensitive to other people’s energies.

Because of this, I didn’t feel like I belonged. I felt like I was too happy. I felt like an alien.

It was challenging for me to hang out with my friends at the vibration I was in, so I would unconsciously pull my energy down to feel like I fit in more.

By doing so, I was disconnecting from my heart and my energy.

You can either live through your heart or fear.

When you are in your heart, nothing is missing. This is where you experience states of gratitude, inspiration, wisdom and love.

When you are in fear, you are in your emotions. This is where your energy decreases as well as your vibration.

I often felt alone in the past because I felt like I didn’t connect with many people because the frequencies didn’t resonate.

The truth is, I wasn’t allowing myself to connect with my heart and own my energy and happiness.

When you are connected with your heart, that’s when you feel most fulfilled. That’s when you feel most successful, happy, joyful and loved.

A heart connection is one of the best ways to increase your energy, vitality and frequency.

So how can you connect with your heart? What are the things you can do?

One of the things you can do is stop doing the things that feel familiar that pull you out of your heart. For example, reduce or eliminate food, social media, places, people, etc., that decreases your energy or vibration.

On the flip side, it put more energy and attention towards things that your heart would love.

This may include eating healthy organic foods, being in nature, soulful conversations, fun, adventure, etc.

The key is to make FEELING GOOD the familiar and the things that no longer serve you the unfamiliar.

And that’s where it gets fun; life is supposed to be fun!

My desire for you is that you start taking action to move your heart towards what it would love, get out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself and know you’ll be supported.

How to Play Your Life Better

Andrea Parker and Wife Mel Playing Golf

As a Human Potential Coach, I help fun, inspiring, driven individuals live a life that they are SO in love with.

In pursuing your dreams, you are often being pulled out of your comfort zone and naturally face obstacles and challenges along the way.

This is one reason why I love coaching. The goal isn’t to focus on the problems. Instead, it’s about playing for what you’d love, and in doing so, learning how to play life better.

Here is an example of one way that my client played her dream better this week…

My client is lovingly transitioning from her ‘secure’ career, earning good money into her own business doing what she loves.

The challenge that popped up in her playing for this dream was navigating the conversation with telling her boss she was leaving.

This is a family-owned business, and she wanted to leave in the most loving way possible.

One way I coached her on how to play this better was using the Inner Freedom Method.

This mind-body technique created by Coach Dave Buck, the CEO of Coachville, is one of my go-to tools to help my clients navigate pivotal moments.

In this case, we pre-played the conversation she would have with her Boss/ Family member about her resigning.

This is powerful because we jumped into the subconscious blocks, limiting beliefs ahead of time and rewired them even before the actual event.

Once the blocks were removed, we programed the situation to go exactly how she would love it from a place of love, confidence and freedom.

One of the reasons it is called Inner Freedom is that it does just that. It helps neutralize the emotions and stored limiting beliefs so you can be free to create from love.

After bringing her through the full method and pre-playing the conversation, she had homework to help her integrate and practice.

Just like sports, the more you practice, the better you play.

The same goes with real life.

The more you practice and put effort into playing your dreams better, the more masterful and graceful you become at navigating pivotal moments in your life.

My client scripted the conversation for her homework and used the You-Me-Us tool, which helped her communicate more from her heart and less from fear or ego.

I love this tool because it also helps you bypass some of the fear in the other person.

Next, she practiced the conversation. She said it out loud several times and visualized how she wanted to feel in the actual moment.

This seems simple. And it is.

Taking the time to do small, simple steps like this is game-changing. It is where you become the conscious creator of your reality and master of your destiny, opposed to just sitting back and waiting for life to come at you.

Remember, “You can be a victim of your past or a master of your destiny.” Dr. John Demartini.

Practice is a mastery-level move!

Not taking action, avoiding or resisting something often creates more angst and nervousness.

The more action you take, the less anxious you’ll likely feel.

Taking meaningful action increases your confidence, self-esteem and self-worth.

The truth is it takes courage to leave a secure job to pursue your dream.

I love watching my clients play for their dreams.

Coaching is not for those who just want to sit around.

You have to be willing to do the things most people won’t do. And because of that, you’ll be rewarded and live the life most people won’t live.

My client gave me an update on how this conversation went, and she said it went WAY better than she ever expected.

She had so much gratitude in her heart for her boss (family) and the opportunity to show up for an authentic, confident place.

Whether the conversation went well or not is beside the point. The real win is that she was able to show up lovingly as herself and not just react based on old patterns and fears like in the past. She had changed the entire trajectory of the outcome by taking the time to do her inner work and focus on her desired feeling.

Life is way more fun when you know the rules of the game and how to use them to your advantage.

I invite you to ask yourself how you can play your life better?

What can you start practicing so that you can play your dream better?

As a former competitive athlete and personal trainer, I see the benefit in having someone in your corner who can help you play at your highest potential.

Let me know if you are ready to go for the next level of your dream and do it in a more fun, inspiring, and heart-centred way.
