Happy New Year!!
Let’s set some 2019 intentions and get this year off to an amazing start.
First, let’s do a quick recap of your past year, in order to gain some clarity and clear some space for you to move forward. Because 2019 is totally your year!
Taking the time to celebrate and acknowledge your accomplishments is a great way to increase your self-worth. It also increases your belief in yourself, which is awesome seeing as one of the most important factors for success is good self-worth. 🙂
STEP 1: Recap Your Highlights
Write down your positive highlights, accomplishments, big or small wins, and fulfilling events or situations from this past year.
The key is not to overthink this one. Write down literally whatever comes to mind and be sure to look at all the different areas of your life, including career, finance, family, social, health, knowledge, environment (your house, etc.), and spiritual.
This should only take 5 minutes max.
Side note: I always find this fascinating because things we choose to put on this list (or choose not to put on this list) often say a lot about our values and what’s really important to you.
STEP 2: Gain clarity
You are the creator of your life. The first step in becoming a conscious creator is gaining more clarity into what it is that you truly desire.
Here are a few questions you can ask yourself to gain some insights and clarity. These answers often reveal some pretty big clues and signposts for what it is you really want.
What has worked really well?
What hasn’t worked so well?
What would feel so good to stop doing, eliminate or drop?
What do you keep avoiding or putting off?
What are you afraid of?
What are you ready to let go of?
What are you ready to do more of?
What do you feel is missing in your life/ What would make you feel more complete?
STEP 3: Set your intentions for the new year
The key is to listen to your heart, not just your head.
And then go even a step further, how will you feel once you have achieved that goal?
Often, it’s not even the goal, accomplishment or achievement that we are looking to have. It’s the feeling we will feel when we have or do it.
What do you want to do, have, create or experience in 2019?
Take a look at all areas of your life and choose the areas that resonate most with you at this time.
Why is this important to you?
STEP 4: Create a plan and make it happen!
Now that you have your intention for 2019, it’s time to create a plan on how to make this happen.
